Easiest Ever Paella

Think paella's too much of a challenge? Think again, this easy recipe makes it foolproof and is full of fantastic flavour

Method

Based on 4 servings, adjust as needed.

Step 1

Make sure you have defrosted the seafood mix.

Step 2

Heat the oil in a deep frying pan, then soften the leek for 5 mins without browning. Add the chorizo and fry until it releases its oils. Stir in the turmeric and rice until coated by the oils, then pour in the stock. Bring to the boil, then simmer for 15 mins, stirring occasionally.

Step 3

Tip in the peas and cook for 5 mins, then stir in the seafood to heat through for a final 1-2 mins cooking or until rice is cooked. Check for seasoning and serve immediately with lemon wedges.

  • 1L Hot Fish Or Chicken Stock 1x Knorr Stock Pot Chicken 4x28g
  • 1 Leek, sliced 1x Sainsbury's Leeks Loose
  • 110g Chorizo sausage, chopped 1x Sainsbury's Spanish Chorizo Ring 225g
  • 1 tsp Turmeric 1x Sainsbury's Turmeric 48g
  • 400g Frozen Seafood Mix, defrosted 2x Sainsbury's Frozen Cooked Seafood Selection 300g
  • 300g Long Grain Rice 1x Sainsbury's Easy Cook Long Grain White Rice 500g
  • Lemon wedges, to serve 1x Sainsbury's Lemons
  • 200g Frozen Peas 1x Sainsbury's Garden Peas 910g
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil 1x Sainsbury's Olive Oil, Extra Virgin 250ml
  • Maldon Salt, to taste 1x Maldon Sea Salt Flakes 250g
