Super Green Soup (or Pasta Sauce)

This super-easy, Grab and Cook bag allows you to decide whether you fancy turning it into soup or a pasta sauce simply by adjusting the amount of liquid added at the time of cooking. This is fresh, packed full of goodness and totally delicious!

Method

Based on 2 servings, adjust as needed.

Step 1

Put all the ingredients into a saucepan. If making soup, add 3 cups (720ml) boiling water (if cooking for 4). If making pasta sauce, add 1.5 cups (360ml) boiling water. Bring to the boil, then reduce to a simmer and cook for 8–10 minutes, until the vegetables are soft. Blend until smooth and season to taste.

  • 15g Fresh Basil 1x Sainsbury's Fresh Packed Basil 30g
  • 1 Veggie Stock Cube 1x Sainsbury's Stock Cubes, Vegetable 10x10g
  • Maldon Salt, to taste 1x Maldon Sea Salt Flakes 250g
  • 280g Frozen Peas 1x Sainsbury's Garden Peas 910g
  • 100g Fresh Spinach, or 4 cubes frozen spinach 1x Sainsbury's Baby Leaf Spinach 100g
  • 2tsp Frozen Chopped Garlic 1x Sainsbury's Inspired to Cook Chopped Garlic 75g
  • 100g Frozen Diced Onions 1x Sainsbury's Chopped Onions 500g
  • 140g Frozen Broccoli Florets 1x Sainsbury's Broccoli Florets 900g
  • 2 Slices Crusty Bread, or any bread to serve 1x Sainsbury's Crusty Rolls, Taste the Difference x6 300g
